A HUGE differance between victory and another kill or being killed urself. is DISTANCE DISTANCE DISTANCE. Hunters are long range attackers useing guns, bow, or crossbow to splatter there targets brains on the ground behind them. the 3 specs of hunters are all extreamly lethal and require an adjustmant to how u fight,
Beast Master: With a huge War Pet the hunter him/herself doesn't really do much work aside from telling where the pet tp go and peppering the target. the pet does all the work but is cappable of doing its task with ease
Survival:personally i don't like survival but anyway. useing just more DOTs such as teh explosive shot and black arrow u drain teh hp of the enemy fast, scatter shot is mearly a "panic button" to daze the enemy that gets to close so u may retreat. the pet doesn't do ALOT but does do a good bit of damage.
MarksMen: with a myriad of new shots such as aimed, and chimera along with the effects that combo stings+chimera can lead to alot of fun. Scorpid sting + chimera = a arms war without a weapon spinning around no doing much damage for example.
all and all very effective. the silencing shot will shut up mages, locks, or healers so u can shoot them while they can't shoot back or healer others or themselves.
all and all hunters are the snipers of the battlefeild and can go toe to toe with near anything they meet as long as they stay far away (and there lies there weakness, they have poor melee)
if u every get caught too close either run or use wing clip then run while using conncusion shot to daze them. traps help too
in Defensive battles or offensive the hunter still shines.
on Defense sitting in towers or up high they can rain lead or arrows upon the unfortunate enemy.
on offense they can pick off the defenders off there towers or kill the cannons in wintergrasp or SotA or soon the Isle of conquest
also picking off the healers hiding in the back of the defending force. (kill da squishy preists)
and finnaly nothing is more satisfying then seeing the killshot streak off and hit a fleeing enemy in the back of the head with a huge crit, and a resounding "splat" put simply.
BOOM HEADSHOT!!!
